Hi,

I need to restrict access to a website so only certain members of a security group have access to a website. The website is hosted on IIS 6.0 and I don't know much more about the application except that everyone apart from certain users that where members of this security group.

If there was change I don't know! Can a site on IIS 6.0 be locked down so it can only be viewed by users who are part of a security group?

Yes this is possible

You can set this in the web.config
You can also do this in the UI :

<configuration>
  <location path="MyPage.aspx/php/html">
      <system.web>
         <authorization>
            <allow users="DOMAIN\Domain Admins"/>

            <deny users="DOMAIN\Domain Users"/>

         </authorization>
      </system.web>
   </location>
</configuration>
