Single File - Multipage TIFF conversion into Seperate TIFF Files

Hello Everyone,

Any help would be much appreciated. I am working on an iMac OSX and I am interested in converting a large single file TIFF (multiple pages) into multiple separate TIFF files.

Here is what I have tried thus far:
1. I have Adobe Acrobat Pro 10 - I tried exporting the TIFF file into separate PDF files which I then planned on converting into separate TIFF files. However,  I am dealing with  over 500 pages. Converting 500+ pdf files into TIFFs seems very inefficient. Additionally, I have found the resolution decreased dramatically once the files were initially converted to pdf's.

2. A quick Google search showed that there are several 3rd party software that claim to do what I need but they seem to mostly be for PC.

You can probably create an Automator Workflow to do it.

You can also install ImageMagick (from the Unix/Linux world) with Homebrew, then use that to convert your file from the command line.
ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)"
brew install imagemagick

convert multipage.tif single%d.tif

You can also buy something like Tiff Splltter.
