I have created web folders of the main root www/sitefolder.

I can get to those webpages.

I am having trouble setting the same up for a user. the user has homes/userfolder/www

in the control panel for web services and below the virtual host button it says enable personal website which is checked on.

it says the user can upload their webpages to the self-created "www" folder in the user home directory.

in the virtual host list i have added the subfoldername.

but it says page not found.

not sure how to set this up with users.

If your Synology is configured anything like mine, then:

You need to put the website's content in the Tudor/www folder, not in the Tudor/www/KMW folder.  So, for example, index.html would be in Tudor/www .

Then, a user would access the site by going to:

http://www.kentmusiciansweb.no-ip.co.uk/~Tudor

(note the tilde before the username)
