I want to be able to administer my RAID 5 without rebooting. For instance, I just added a 2TB drive to a hot swap bay to use as a spare.
I downloaded and installed Intel RAID Web Console 2 on my Hyper-V Host and pointed the LDAP server settings to the only DC I currently have wich is a VM.
I get the error "Server cannot be found..." Not sure why all of this LDAP is necessary but matrix wont work on 2012 R@ and this seems to be the only option

Why use the Matrix RAID?
It's a piece of garbage.
Use the server 2012r2  storage spaces if you don't want to spring for a real RAID controller.
