I want to create a list view of events on a website using javascript, html5, and css. I could use a library for javascript.

I want each event to have the following:
a picture
a title
a few description sentences
a button to register
date of the event

what is a good way to do this? Or a library widget? Just looking for some basic pointers to the right tool for this exact thing.

Thanks,
alex

this is exactly the sort of thing i'm looking to create. perhaps i'll just try with an HTML table, but i thought there would be a widget for this

you do not need JavaScript just to create the view.  if it's a list then you should use the list element: ul

don't use tables for layout. it might seem easier now but will give you a huge headache later.

yup.

something along the lines of:

ul
  li
div <-- in here put all the bits and pieces, picture, text, etc...

do a reset on the list elements to remove margins padding and bullets.
