VMguest no network connection on one host in cluster

We have four hosts in a cluster.  Yesterday I moved one NIC from each host on the vmnetwork to a new switch.  All was well.  On one host, one of the guests fell off the network (could not ping it).  I vmotioned it to another host and it started working.  Put it back on the original host and it stopped.   There are four other guests on the same distributed switch and they had no issues.  I also rebooted the guest, no luck.

We are running VMware 5.1 update 2a.  The guest is 2008R2.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Are you using the VMXNET3 interface in the VM?

No E1000.  Others in that group are using the E1000 and did not have an issue.

I will replace the NIC.  I will have to wait until after hours.  I will report the results.

Andrew,

You need to change your name to vm guru!  That worked, but I wonder why the other servers with the E1000 did not break.
