iis 8 web farm

Hi, i am about to implement a new windows 2012 web farm at one of our new \dc's

the appluication is .net and asp and the content changes 2-3 times a year.

my plan is to have 3 servers in the farm, and i am looking at the options i have tyo reduce administrative tasks when updating the web sites or making config changes.

each web server will host 50+ web sites each and these 50 will then also reside on node 2 & 3 of the web servers.

we already have a fully operational DFS platform at the backend.

we often have to stop and start the websites so again any tools to acomplish this across the 3 servers would be useful to avoid having to RDP across to each one in turn.

Finally each website using subdomains for identification e.g website1.mydomain.com; website2.mydomain.com.

thanks in advance.

In order to reduce management overhead I would look into the following items:

1. web farm framework (http://www.iis.net/downloads/microsoft/web-farm-framework)
2. shared configuration (http://www.iis.net/learn/manage/managing-your-configuration-settings/shared-configuration_264)
3. web deployment tool (http://www.iis.net/overview/control/centralizedwebfarmmanagement)
4. In case of large scale SSL usage (http://www.iis.net/learn/get-started/whats-new-in-iis-8/iis-80-server-name-indication-sni-ssl-scalability)

This is also a good read about hosting using IIS:
