O365 and Autodiscover

My firm is in the process on moving to o365 for mail.    WE currently do not have autodiscover turned on externally tp prevent users from copying their mailboxes to non domain computers.  I understand that Autodiscover is needed to migrate mailboxes to o365.  Is there a way if any to allow only the 365 environment access to auto discover only for the sake of migrating mailboxes?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

The short answer is no.  It needs to be enabled for the migration or you can't migrate (if that is what you mean by moving).  You also need Autodiscover for Out Of Office and the Offline Address Book, so disabling it will have other implications on the functionality of Exchange.
