Migration from exchange 2007 to exchange 2013

Dear All,
we have made a migration from exchange 2007 to exchange 2013 at the same forest (resource forest)
After mailbox migration to 2013 when we open the "Global Adresse list" with outlook client 2007/2010 or 2013, on the new migrated mailbox it take more delay than on the legacy mailbox. This abnormal delay is observed at each opening of the client (concerned online mode, not cache mode) The GAL seems need to be downloaded at each start of the client The average of this delay is about 15s to 20s to open Global Address list , compared with legacy exchange 2007 than take only 1s,
Can you please help to found the root cause  of this issue

Did you move the GAL to the new exchange server from the old one.

Secondly do you only experience this issue in online mode not cached mode

Hello,
right now we are still in the coexistence mode and we are in the same forest
and our experience is only with online mode

I personally would firstly complete the migration before worrying about thinks lie a delay ion accessing the GAL. As you are adding complexity to your problem. Firstly complete the migration then solve the issues.  

It is possible that your users are connected to the one exchange server and as the GAL resided on the original server, The exchange server needs to contact the other server then pass the info on. (Im guessing here though.)

Thanks for your response but we have communicate to the end user that the performance will be very good with exchange 2013 so we need to find a solution to this issue during coexistence period

During a migration you will have period of reduced performance and down time. This is unfortunately how it is. For example you can not move a mailbox with out taking it offline. You will also lose access to OWA during the switch over phase. I do not know for sure if the GAL issue is related to your migration or to an existing issue. You have not provided enough information regarding what you have done and have not done.

However I would still complete the migration and just before you uninstall exchange from the old server I would then check and ensure all performance issues are resolved At that point I have eliminated a whole lot of possibilities..  You have to many factors at play here, that's my advise any ways hope it helpful.

Hello,
About our GAL issue,  is more related to FW  between exchange and DC, and even we have put an ANY \ANY rule, we didn't not yet solve the issue, because our FW  inspect olso the packet.
