So, I have android tablet (on 3G via SIM)that has to be able to print on a Brother DCP-7055W.

The ad-hoc mode on the brother is not supported by the tablet. (Samsung tab SM-t535) is doesn't see the wireless network on any channel) so I used a simple router that is NOT connected to the internet (they have no connection there)

I connected the brother printer to the wireless router network and installed the Brother print app on it.
Now I am able to see and print to the printer using the Wireless network. Except for all the PDF and Office files.
The printer print app needs to have internet connection to render the PDF/word files before printing.

so I need to tablet to use the 3G network while connected to the Wireless router.

How can I do this?

Perhaps setting up the tablet as the wifi hot spot and connecting the printer to it would work? Then the tablet will still be connected to the 3G network for Internet access.

Thanks Norm, I tried that but forgot to mention it.

It works but with a 2MB PDF it takes about 1.5min to print. With a 12.5Mb PDF it takes about 10 minutes.
I guess this will be the only solution atm.

Displaying an arrayList in a listView using the default adapter is rarely the best solution. To get full control of your display data, and to be able to refresh it after editing, requires the use of a custom adapter.
