Hi,

I'd like my application to show some balloon tips (daily scheduled tasks set in the application) in the taskbar,

when the app is first loaded, I filter the taskbindingsource to today`s date, i then display the tasks in a balloon tip, like this :

NotifyIcon1.BalloonTipText = tasksBindingsource.Item(0)("tasks").ToString

The first problem I have is the text gets cut off in the balloon tip if it passes a certain length, if for example it's longer then 40 words then the text will be cut off, is there a way to increase this limit?

The other problem I have is the time limit, it seems no matter what I put, the popup disappears after a few seconds, is there a way to increase this limit?

Thank you for the help,

szTip
Type: TCHAR[64]
A null-terminated string that specifies the text for a standard tooltip. It can have a maximum of 64 characters, including the terminating null character.
For Windows 2000 and later, szTip can have a maximum of 128 characters, including the terminating null character.
szInfo
Type: TCHAR[256]
Windows 2000 and later. A null-terminated string that specifies the text to display in a balloon notification. It can have a maximum of 256 characters, including the terminating null character, but should be restricted to 200 characters in English to accommodate localization.

consider another logic for long text - for example opening new window (or showing message) on click.
