My Sim Card allows everything except to Send text (can call, receive texts, but not send)
MTN (Nigeria) Sim Card. I have tried on several cell-phones so the problem is the sim card. I can call and receive calls, I can receive texts, BUT I CANNOT SEND TEXTS. When I try to send I get the Not Delivered Error message.
I have been in touch with MTN customer Care. it takes well over an hour to get any answer and usually calls are suddenly cut off. they told me the Message Center Number must be wrong and sent me the correct one and the code to ring. I rang and discovered I already have the correct number. Any advice on what might be wrong and how to rectify it?

Sounds like a faulty SIM to me. You should be able to pick up an unregistered SIM somewhere locally, and then call the provider and they will move your number to it. Have done this multiple times for BlackBerrys - you have to leave the SIM out and the battery out for 20 minutes afterwards, and then it should work.
This is for UK networks, but I can't imagine it's radically different for Nigerian ones.

I'd just tell them that the sim has been lost, often easiest to keep it simple.

Found out what was wrong with the sim card independently and repaired it.
Can you try a different SIM from a different company (even a prepaid SIM to test)?
