I would like to learn to  draw different  high level conceptual and UML diagrams, Know the various architectural styles, J2EE layered multi tier architecture,  integration styles.  How to design the existing current application i am working and new application i may work in the future. I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Do you want some recommendations for books and online tutorials on the above topics?
yes

and then ask for some UML advice, maybe that will work.
is there is specific forums on UML to post and see some of related past questions

I would start asking a number of different questions for the seven bullets in my first post.
If you want book or online links, then ask for them specifically in each bullet.

Sure. I will take one small step at a time as you suggested.
