Error Message when opening a Word 2011 document from the Network share

I support one Apple PC for our marketing department

When the user opens a document from the network share she gets the error I attached below

She can open Word documents saved to her PC

This is the first time this has happened and  the PC is 2 years old so it worked in the past

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Unmount the share and remount it and most of the time it will solve that issue.  OSX does wonky things on the SMB network shares  Which OS version is it?

Click on the eject symbol next to the share name in your Finder.

Then either Command+K or in the Finder Menu, Select Go --> Connect to Server.  Choose the server.    You may need to do this first to see if you have the server name already saved here.
