I am having issues with emails routing. Currently it is routing to mail.XYZ.com instead of going straight to the outside world. Where in Lotus Notes admin can I change this so it doesn't route somewhere else and goes directly out.

Check the Configuration document, for the server. Is there a relay or a smart host defined? Otherwise, check Domain and Connection documents. I'm afraid your question is too common to give a more precise answer.
