advanced filter not working

I have a spreadsheet of data with numerous columns. I want to filter one column based on unique records only. I selected the advanced filter but its not filtering the data to one row per value there are numerous rows of data per unique value. Why would this be?

It should do - I've just tested it.

Can you post your spreadsheet and say what you are doing.

It did in the end, lol! Think the pure volume of data was causing some issues, took around 5 minutes to properly filter!

A quicker way, maybe, is to do a simple PivotTable with one field and no values.
