I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

By showing them the various benefits of WordPress and the plugin/theme community add-ons (none of which Google has)

Then maybe you're not the best person to convince anyone to move away from simple solutions?  Email contact forms are far superior to mailto links and can have attachments if you have the knowledge to add them.  You also can require certain types of data, have multiple recipients, and more.

But if the client is happy with what they have and you agree that a simple mailto is adequate, why move them?
