We are fully virtualized.  VMWARE.  I was wanting to install another copy of windows server 2008 R2 as a virtual machine.  Possibly download the trial.  How would I go about installing this as a virtual machine using VMWARE?

Are you virtualized on ESXi or are your using vCenter.  If you are using vCenter then you could connect to the vCenter web interface and from there, you could create the VM.  If you are not using vCenter then go to the IP address of the ESXi server using your favorite browser and from the link, download and install vSphere client.  Once you have vSphere client, you need to ensure you have created your datastore as to where VMs can reside, your networking, etc and create your VM.  I suggest you go to VMware site and download documents outlining how to setup and manage ESXi/vCenter environment.

So connect to vCenter Server, and follow my EE Article, on create a VM.

It's the same process, whether connected to ESXi directly or vCenter Server.
