Do we need open ports 1494 and 2598 in Firewall for traffic to and from Netscaler in DMZ to back-end Citrix servers

Hello there,

Do we need open ports 1494 and 2598 in Firewall for traffic to and from Netscaler in DMZ to back-end Citrix servers.

If so should SNIP or MIP be the source IP?

Please advise.

Yes you need open the ports between netscaler and citrix servers

Thanks and do I need to list all Citrix XenApp Servers that host the applications and desktops? Please advise.

This is for external users accessing Publishing apps and desktops

Yes you need to list the source and destination to firewall team to open the ports.
