Hi.

I am migrating mailboxes off Exchange 2007 into Exchange 2013. The majority of the mailboxes synced fine.  I underestimated the additional disk space required and ran out of space at 89% into the last mailbox.

This is what I get when I run
Get-moverequest|get-moverequeststatistics

DisplayName               StatusDetail              TotalMailboxSize          TotalArchiveSize         PercentComplete
User Name                StalledDueToCI            1.67 GB (525,738,4...                                                       89

In the user migration log for the user states that it ran out of system ressources and will continue as soon as ressources are available.

I created more space in this virtual environment. Now the report sais this:

08.11.2014 07:33:14 [host] Der Microsoft Exchange-Postfachreplikationsdienst 'host.domain.local' (15.0.847.31 caps:03FF) überprüft die Anforderung.
08.11.2014 07:33:15 [host] Vorübergehender Fehler 'MapiExceptionMdbOffline'. Erneuter Versuch (24/60).
08.11.2014 07:33:15 [host] Anforderung kann nicht gespeichert werden. Fehler: MapiExceptionMdbOffline.

sorry, it's a German Installation.

08.11.2014 07:33:14 [host] Microsoft Exchange-mailbox-replication-service 'host.domain.local' (15.0.847.31 caps:03FF) is checking the request.
08.11.2014 07:33:15 [host] transient error 'MapiExceptionMdbOffline'. Retry (24/60).
08.11.2014 07:33:15 [host] Request cannot be saved. Error: MapiExceptionMdbOffline.

Anyone?

Thanks,
Ralph

Problem solved.  There is a bug in Exchange 2013 SP1 that Microsoft is currently working on.  The temporary workaround is to disable content indexing on the DB while you move your mailboxes by running:

Set-MailboxDatabase DB -IndexEnabled:$False
