EAS policies on windows mobile 8.1 devices

Hello ladies and gents.
I am struggling with an issue regarding the EAS policy on Exchange 2010.
I am trying to configure a new EAS policy but it looks like when the Limit e-mail size or the maximum attachement size is set, the sync to windows mobile devices breaks. Iphones and Androids sync with no problem and the policy is applied.
Allowing non-provisionable devices helps but is not an option.

Is this a limitation on windows mobile? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Doesn't seem like it is supported. A list of supported policy restrictions are listed below:

and we got those devices for compatibility.....
