all PC's and other clients able to login to RDS server but now older thin clients like wyse sxo are getting the following message upon trying to login to RDS server which they could before the license issues

"""because of a security error the client could not connect to the remote computer, verify that you are logged on to the network and then try connecting again"""

all help is greatly appreciated

you have to upgrade your WTOS firmware to at least WNOS 6.5.0_30, this may entail buying new hardware.

The reason is: RDP 5.x clients CAN connect if no license server is activated. In this case,  RDS does not issue any license to the client, and allows the client to connect at a low encryption level, 512 bits.

However, when an RDS license server is activated, a higher level of encryption is required (2048 bits) and RDP 5.x cannot support this level of encryption. Therefore, the RDP 5.x client can no longer connect
