I have been using access for many years now, but would like to program an application that displays a client directory, and there associated orders, and print them as needed. &nbsp;<br />

Self-pace training is best for me, or through books with examples. &nbsp;<br />
<br />
Note: &nbsp;I am not looking to create a web based app, just a program in-house stored on our server in a split database.<br />

What is the best product for learning Access 2013, and programming an Access 2013 database

Most development for the Microsoft platform is done utilizing the technologies supported by the.NET framework. Other development is done using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) for programs like Access, Excel, Word and Outlook, with PowerShell for scripting, or with SQL for large databases.
