Looking to take on a new client with a powervault md1000 with 12 drives.  never dealt with that.  it only has power cable and a data cable going up to the server.   How do you administer it?  Change drive configurations, etc.

it's done at the OS level
you can use OpenManage Server Administrator to manage the drives
assuming everything is connected properly, OMSA should see the device attached and all your drives where you can manage your disks and arrays

Thanks. I opened openmanage but only saw the drives in the machine itself under storage tab.  But there's several open manage apps available , right?
