I have a user who complains that sometimes (key word) when she tries to close Word it will not close. She says the document as well as the window remain as they were and she can see some flickering of the red "X" She then has to open task manager and close down that way. She works in documents all day hopping from folder to folder on our network. I deleted her temp files which numbered 8,765. I was hoping this would help but hell no.

Clean up temp files one more time and then run Disk Cleanup. After that, reboot and run an Office Repair from Control Panel, Programs and Features. Click on Office and choose Full Repair. Restart and see if any improvement.
