Use of TM (trade mark symbol)

Hi,

Please look at http://tchristy.net/rootban.php.

Note how the TM symbol is used on the breadcrumbs and in the Product Summary Table.

See attached HTML source. Note on line 86 how the TM symbol is used inside the <h1>, it does NOT show on the rendered page.

My guess is that the symbol I am using  (&#8482;) is not universal & does not apply everywhere.

How can I get the little superscript TM on the <h1> line?

HTML entity codes are universal
Not sure what the question is as I see it in both the breadcrumb and in the table.

See attached. The TM should appear after the hyphenated ROOT-BAN.

Thanks

Gary,

I have no clue what you mean.

Can I do something like <span style="font-family:Arial; font-size: 10pt">TM</span> right after ROOT-BAN (followed by a space)?

As best I can tell, the css is this:

body{
      font-family:Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;
      color:#000000

      }

and

h1                                                      {
                                                      font-size: 30px;
                                                      top: 5px;
                                                      color:#000;
                                                      /* [disabled]font-style: italic; */
                                                      border-bottom-width: 2px;
                                                      border-bottom-style: solid;
                                                      border-bottom-color: #900;
                                                      padding-bottom: 5px;
}

But that wouldn't seem to make sense.

You mentioned cufon, I don;t know what that means.

At the bottom of every page is :

<script type="text/javascript"> Cufon.now(); </script>

Thanks

I got it to work (sort of) using

<h1><strong>ROOT-BAN<span style="font-size: 10pt">&nbsp;TM</span> Drain Pipe Adhesive</strong></h1>

See http://tchristy.net/rootban1.php

Thanks

Why are you using cufon to start with?
Did a quick check on the fonts you are using and the HTML code is not recognised.

I inherited this crap, I have no clue.

But I have it working, so I don't want to screw with it any more.

Well you could probably just remove the cufon.now and related scripts and just use plain ol' css to style the H1 tag (bold/italic etc) - can't see cufon being used anywhere else so it's just pointless.

If I do this "Well you could probably just remove the cufon.now and related scripts and just use plain ol' css to style the H1 tag (bold/italic etc) - can't see cufon being used anywhere else so it's just pointless. ", you know what happens.

It all blows up all over the place. I've been doing this long enough to know that.

I'll keep it as is, thanks for the help & stay tuned. I'm sure I will have more.
