I need to create the ability to search my vb asp.net website.   What application or function can I use (with examples)  to search my webpages and documents?

I don't need to search my MS Sql Database, just the webpages and documents.

When you say webpages are you referring to Asp.net dynamic web pages?  If so that makes it more difficult, because you only want to search the rendered pages not the code.

What documents would you be searching?  PDF, *.doc, *.docx, *.xls, etc.?

This tutorial and sample code would probably work for you:

If you are not searching dynamic web pages you can use the Indexing Service:

Or you can purchase software to do that:
