android doc showing a list of apps

i am getting a mac like hide/show dock on my android 4.4.2 which never goes away. I can choose the 4 sides. but if I touch close to a side doc shows

please delete doc

Can you please post a screenshot? Hold down home and power at the same time to get one.
I'm running 4.4.2 on my tablet so I can try to replicate your issue but I need more info.
Also what do you mean by
I can choose the 4 sides
