SBS 2011 RWW read only files

Hi everyone,

i am stumped on an issue that I hope someone can help me out on.

i have a client that utilizes RWW for people in the field and they have noticed that all files are opening read only.

i have checked that the folders and files in question are allowed to be edited by the user in question, so all security groups seem to match up okay.

the server is SBS 2011 and all updates are installed.

any ideas? Please see attachment.  thanks!

i may have found the answer to my own question.  The file is opened by downloading the document to the "temporary internet files" folder which is not a "save" location you can write to.

the workaround appears to be saving to the desktop and manually re-uploading the file to the directory, that overwrites the file and saves to the server and network share.
