Disable Sharepoint services - Small Business server 2008

I have Small Business Server 2008 .  
I never use Sharepoint services.  It seems to cause problems with backup.  I get errors:
  Selected writer 'SPSearch VSS Writer' is in failed state!

What procedure could I use to disable Sharepoint?
