Does Squid support LDAP protocol?

I would like to know whether squid support proxy of LDAP protocol just like the way it support http, https, ftp. And if it support then how do we enable it? Thanks!

No it does not. You need OpenLDAP with cache overlay to get closer.

http://www.openldap.org/doc/
choose version that your unix includes
look for "proxy cache overlay"
