I'm trying to activate my copy of Project 2010 pro and keep getting the attached message. (See below)
I've got the correct key.

Okay.
How do I extract the product key from my old pc?
Project is still loaded on that machine.
Is there a registry key I can look at?

You are using the Trial Version, but I assume that the Trial can be activated. So 2 things:

1. Check your download to be sure you have the correct file.
2. Uninstall Project Trial (all of it), restart the computer, and then install Project again.

Does this work?

most trial versions cannot be activated only the non-trial version will activate with your product key

make sure the date and time on your system is correct
that error code means "The activation server reported that new time based activation is not available."
