For scanning purposes, I usually use the open source (Free!!) iCopy <a href="http://icopy.sourceforge.net/" rel="ugc">http://icopy.sourceforge.net/</a><br />
(Depends if the driver is well written though)<br />
This program easily scans, scans multiple pages, and saves as PDF if necessary.
