Hello Experts,
I have been tasked with moving/transferring a website, that is installed in a machine using IIS6 to a machine that has IIS7.  How do I do this?  What are the steps that I need to take?  Is it just as simple as moving the files from one machine to another, and placing the files in C:\Inetpub\wwwroot?

Thank you very much in advance for your help,

Fortunately for you this process is rather easy and there is a step by step on iis.net

http://www.iis.net/learn/publish/using-web-deploy/migrate-a-web-site-from-iis-60-to-iis-7-or-above

pay specific attention to the inputs and  configs to ensure any needed info is properly migrated.
