I'm going to say that IPv6 is not supported on N7K's running NX-OS 6.1.

N7K-11(config)#vrrp 1
N7K-11(config-if-vrrp)# ?
address Add an IP address to the vr
advertisement-interval Set the time interval between advertisement
  authentication Select authentication method
no Negate a command or set its defaults
preempt Enable preemption of lower priority master
  priority Configure the vr priority
shutdown Enable or disable a VR
track Track the availability of another interface/object
  end Go to exec mode
  exit Exit from command interpreter
pop Pop mode from stack or restore from name
push Push current mode to stack or save it under name
where Shows the cli context you are in

N7K-11(config-if-vrrp)# address ?
  A.B.C.D Ip address

I guess Nexus 5548 version 7.0(2)N1(1) also not supporting vrrp with ipv6.
Did you maybe find any documentation stating it’s not supported or in what version will it be supported?
I cant find anything.

According to this, IPv6 is supported on NX-OS v6.0 with VRRPv3.

However, I don't have that as an option.

Not sure what to make of this discrepancy at this point.

sshServer 1 enabled
tacacs 1 disabled
telnetServer 1 enabled
tunnel 1 disabled
udld 1 disabled
vpc 1 disabled
vrrp 1 disabled
vtp 1 disabled
wccp 1 disabled
N7K-11(config)# feature vrrpv3
                            ^
% Invalid command at '^' marker.
N7K-11(config)#
