We need some help figuring out what DCPROMO will do when we run it.
We have a new server Windows 2012 that has been properly joined to the DOMAIN.
ALL user data has been moved as well as applications.
Questions:
1. will the logon.bat files transfer to the new server
2. will I see the old user accounts that were on the DC 2003, in the 2012 server?
3. any forseeable issues?

Here you go, read this. We used this for replacing a 2003 server.
Be warned though more often than not it goes more wrong than right.

My best advice is if its possible just start with a fresh domain, honestly save yourself the headache. Heres the article :) :

Thanks for the link, it led to something that I really needed to know and was absolutely helpful.
That led to this in their step 6:
FSMO Roles Transfer before DCPROMO to demote or remove 2003 or other DC

Followed the guide in the above posting.  It worked great.  At the step where you run DCPROMO on the old Windows 2003 DC it can't find any other controllers.  This despite having transferred all FSMO roles to the new DC Windows Server 2012.   When I run dcdiag /q  I get the following up put.  help?
