Hi,

As you know when you upgrade a 365 plan, users data does not get transferred.
Using the Migration tool provided in 365 (i am not interested on 3rd party tool), what steps do I need to take in order to transfer data from 365 to 365?

Thanks

Currently there is no direct way to migrate mailboxes from one Office 365 tenant to another one smoothly and flawlessly. You’re right. Currently, PST migration (exporting and importing .PST files) is supported, as you mentioned.

About the built-in migration tools in Exchange Admin Center, only IMAP migration is supported to migrate mailboxes between two Office 365 tenants. However, only items in a user's inbox or other mail folders can be migrated and contacts, calendar items by IMAP migration, or tasks are not migrated. Other built-in migration tools are not supported for this scenario, for example, cutover/staged migration is used to migrate mailboxes from on-premise Exchange to Office 365, remote move migration is used to migrate mailboxes between on-premise Exchange and Exchange Online in Exchange hybrid environment. Sorry for any inconvenience it may cause.

Hi jasvindar, yes you are right, I have managed to migrate mail with using IMAP. I can work around the tasks & notes using the PST. Thanks

Vasil, thanks for your answer, but no 3rd party tool
