AWS Architecture

Hi,

what price one would  have to pay if you want to host your web application on AWS,
can we have Trail version for  some time. My requirement is i have to deploy a web based application
a war file on  the aws. can we scale out the application on it, Let say i have to deploy my application
at various servers with a Load balancing  and Tomcat application server deployed at various location,
I would like maintain  a three tier architecture and a database tier with master slave confirguration whiv\ch is around 10 tera bit of data... will this kind of scaling do aws provides a flexibity of doing this..
Any practical architecturing would be help ful

Thank you

AWS has a free usage tier for new signups.

Not exactly a trial, but you can fool around risk-free and get a feeling for all of the features.

As for the architecture, imagine that you have 6 private datacenters, and ability to provision your own application servers, databases, web servers, storage, firewalls. Now plan your application in terms of HA, DR, LB and planned performance.
You talk of 3 tier architecture, I assume you know how to do it in a conventional deployment.

Your architecture plan can be deployed on AWS.

The difference is that with AWS you can do more than that.  Much more.
* You don't need to have 6 private datacenters to benefit from a good architecture
* You can scale out and scale down your servers based on actual need and not on physical servers constraints.
* With some planning, you can copy your entire configuration to a new version for development, evaluation of OS upgrades, demos etc...
* You have new application enabling services to use that otherwise require major investments in time, licenses and hardware (SNS, SQS, Beanstalk, transcoding, EMR, ......)
