java application build install for Windows, Linux and Mac
What is a good way to build installation files for a Java application for the Windows, Linux and Mac platforms? These will be downloaded from my web site.
I have seen ads for products to do this but at considerable cost. Are there any open source (or ~$100) solutions that are not too complex? Would Java WebStart be viable - complexity, certification process?
This is for a small user group who are not too technical so I am thinking of including the appropriate jre with the install.
Thanks

You will of course need net connectivity if you want to take advantage of the transparent update functionality of Web Start
Java apps rarely need installers
