Vulnerabilities (kerberos & Winshock)

I have an ASP (classic) w MS SQL 2008 web application.
I am being asked for a patch to protect it from the (kerberos & Winshock) vulnerabilities.

Is there something I need to do with my web application or is this something that needs to be done on the server to protect the web application ?  If so, what needs to be done to protect it from both vulnerabilities.
