Convert mm/dd/yyyy to YYYYMMDD in excel

I need to convert dates stored in this formant, "mm/dd/yyyy" to "YYYYMMDD" in excel.  No slashes in the converted date.

Right-hand click on the cell and select "Format cells..."

Go to Custom and type in yyyymmdd.

Press OK.
