how to correct once call to Word doc to load that has DB fields for merging
OBDC doesn't find DB

Have you got the database at that path? If not then locate it on your PC and copy to the path you see in the error message.
If there is no way to create the path on you PC you will need to adjust the ODBC settings. To do so you will need to first find out what DSN is used in the mail merge settings and then change the DSN in the ODBC Administrator. This is more complex task, so I recommend you first try fixing the path

yep something got corrupted while transferring word docs, thanks foir the heads up -its fixed
