VB.Net - How to Create .Zip with No Third Party?

Good Day Experts!

I have a little VB.Net 2005 project that I output a .xls file from.  I am interested in making it into a .zip file.
Is there a way to do this within the .Net Framework with no ThirdParty software?

I have searched the Net and found some solutions for 4.5 but I am unable to find a suitable solution for what I have.

Do you have any reference suggestions I can take a look at?

Thanks,

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Not without implementing the ZIP specification yourself. The only suites that were available back in 2.0/3.x were DeflateStream and GZipStream.

Thanks for the replies.  I will have to take a look at one of these in the future.   A new large project just came aboard so I won't be able to get to this for a while.

Thanks,
