self registration error, when uninstalling dao350.exe

when I uninstall the program dao350.exe, then I get an error (enclosed).
translated error message:
Self registration error:
One or more files did not properly self-register:
1. c:\programs\common files\microsoft shared\dao\dao2535.tb
Error at access to OLE-registration.

Now my questions:
* general question: is the error message wrong, or does the UNinstallation really register (not unregister) something ?
* how do I now entirely uninstall dao350.exe ?

By the way, before this uninstallation attempt, the interface to mdb files given by dao350.exe did certainly at least partially work fine; I have no proof of a malfunctioning of this module. But the deinstallation attempt shows there must be something wrong with either this windows installation or this dao installation.

Hi Sonja,

Did you try uninstalling in Safe mode?

Hi teebon,

this looks like a good first idea - thanks for your suggestion ! - Unfortunately (or fortunately?) this PC started to produce other problems, and we decided to get rid of it, instead of fixing it. So my problem is solved.
