Exchange 2010 ECP / OWA end users view of Public groups

Hello

When end users log into the ECP [https://owa.mydomain.com/ecp/] and click on the Groups tab, on the right pane I want them to see only the Distribution Groups which have a status of Open under the Membership Approval, hence providing a short list of opt in groups (not the other 50 odd which are closed groups in terms of Membership Approval).

Please help, provide step by step instructions...

As far as I am aware, it is not possible to control the view of the groups in that Window. The only way you could control it is to hide the other groups from the GAL, but that would affect what groups they see in the address list as well.

Your best option is probably to get a custom interface written for the group management, which the users can go to instead. Probably something on SharePoint.

I have decided the easiest way to proceed is for the end user is to be directed via a link to the Join/Leave window.
I'll create a page on the intranet with all Open groups listed with the associated link [thus skipping the page completely].
