SohoRaid: is it possible to map a drive on such a device

have this device SohoRaid external closure:

and I failed so far to find an option to share/map a drive on that device.

any clues?

You wont. It is a single user, single PC device.  Once you have it attached you could of course share the drive off of your PC with others.

This is direct attached storage, once connected to your PC or server, you can, as Neilsr says, share the storage by right-clicking on the drive and selecting "Share with". Then you will be able to connect to it from another system by mapping a drive to the share you created.

Interesting, though why the device has LAN connection?
meanwhile, I found another way to "share" the device: via the fritzbox I have as external USB device, it's connectable like any other USB also visible directly on the PC via a Fritz application.

The answers are correct, you cannot attach to the device via network "directly".
My solution is nothing else that the Fritzbox (router) to do the sharing via network for me.
