How to animate model with element 3D(After Effect)

I have Video Copliot's elemet 3D plug-in with Jetstrike pack. I never learned 3D modeling.
I use element 3D for importing 3D models easily, but I thought it's impossible to apply complex animation on models with element 3D. When I need little animation on model, I use group function of element 3D to detach moving parts from model, and rotate or move each group separately. This method has limit.

Recently I saw video using element 3D. He said he used 3d max to make animation, and used element 3D to import it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EBhv89o2980
So what I want to know is how to animate model with element 3D or import animation with element 3D.
