What's up with this video

From this question:

http://www.experts-exchange.com/Hardware/Personal_Electronics/Cameras_Camcorders/Q_28572596.html

I ran gspot and it says the container file type and mime type are unknown. and it doesn't list any codec or any other info (it's gspot v2.70a... that's the latest? from 2007 I think?)

This is a video from a (low end) security camera DVR.

I've been able to upload similar videos to youtube and it always says 'We did not recognize the format of this file, but we will try to process it anyway' and previous videos would be made into you tube videos.

I have 2 files (this is 1 of them) that it doesn't finish processing.

Any thoughts on how to rename it / convert it so youtube will process them?

Hi,  BeGentleWithMe-INeedHelp
is this the same file you were able to play in VLC? from other question?
If not
I can play it MPC-be with some artefacts.. I find over the years that VLC is not always as good with some video formats especially high def as MPC-be.
The H .264 is a raw video file and only the player on the DVR will recognize it  so you need to give it a container like avi or mkv to play it outside.
I converted  your H .264 to MKV using the  Divx converter.
Get the DivX with Divx Converter and the H.264 codec is included.
download here includes all three
http://www.divx.com/en/software/divx
Divx downloadDropped the bypass ch00000000000001-141203-094832-094930-10p101000000  on to Div Converter..then clicked start, it converts it to MKV,
Divx converter will show you where it sends the file, usually  C:\Users\User\Videos Inside is a DIVX folder
Now as it has a container called MKV and you should now be able to  play it in Divx player or Media player Classic BE My preferred default player and VLC..
Also you can now upload to youtube as well.
