Ecologic an group ip an edit sport

i am new to ecologic and trying to undersand group Ip and its port.
Have a ps6000 and it has two ctrl.
Each has four ports.
In the initial configuration we give ip address to group.
There should be an either ports for this group ip. Where this ip assigned to , i mean which port?

The group IP isn't assigned to a single port. It is assigned to the group itself, and can be active on any port on any member of the group. Each interface on your controllers should have an IP on the same subnet as the group IP. You will have 5 IP addresses in total. The active and standby controllers use the same IP addresses per matching port as each port is only active on one controller at a time.
