Is the file stored in CRM?  Can you download the file and then ftp it. Or are you looking for a recurring process?

I have a workflow which will create the file but I want it ftp'd to my site.  So, recurring process.

Ah I see. Then no, you will need to develop a custom workflow action.

Does it work like a regular ftp where you just have to provide the login and password and put the file?

I think you missed the point of my answer. There is no mechanism in CRM to initiate an ftp action. If you want to transfer a file in a workflow you will need to write (develop) the code to perform the ftp action. You could design it so that the filename, login and password are provided in the workflow and then passed to the custom code or the code can look for the login and password in a configuration file.
